My name is Jennifer Featherstone. I am your typical dog mom with three kids, Guinness, Maggie Mae and Arthur.
In an effort to give my dogs the best nutritional diet, I discovered that the FDA does not require pre-market approval of pet products. The FDA only ensures that the ingredients used in pet food are safe and have an appropriate function. This means that commercial foods may contain low nutritional value. Just as with humans, if dogs are eating a low nutritional value diet, over time, they may become ill and develop diseases.
My kids’ health and well being are my top priority. Since the early 90’s, I have been making treats and dog food to supplement their dry food. As humans we are careful about our nutrition so why shouldn’t our dogs be afforded the same consideration? We want to live long healthy lives and we want our dogs to as well!
Guinness is my Golden Retriever/Great Dane mix. Guinness is 9 years old and weighs in at around 125 pounds. He still runs around like a puppy playing with 2 year old Maggie Mae and Arthur and shows no signs of hip or digestive problems associated with large breed dogs. My beloved Rockett passed away two years ago, one month shy of turning 15, which for a Lab is a very long life. Neither Rockett nor Guinness ever had a cavity or tartar on their teeth. I do contribute their good health and long life to the extra nutrition in their diet.
I don’t consider my dog biscuits or dog food to be gourmet or only reserved for special occasions. My products are affordable and are intended for everyday consumption. Of course, they do make great gifts! My dog food is pressure canned to ensure freshness.
My biscuits and dog food are made from all natural ingredients. All ingredients have a guaranteed analysis and are licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
